In 2018, Joshua Resnick founded Parallel Flight Technologies, an unmanned systems company dedicated to saving lives, property, and the environment. He brings a passion for groundbreaking technology and years of hybrid and electric powertrain expertise to Parallel. Prior to founding Parallel, he led system architecture and electrical engineering for the Tesla Semi Truck program. Before moving to California, he led state-funded research for the State of Alaska developing hybrid electric commercial fishing boats. When he is not designing the future, Joshua enjoys flying RC helicopters and hiking!
Andra Keay - Cofounder of RoboGarden, Founder of Robot Launchpad
Andra Keay is the Managing Director of Silicon Valley Robotics, the non-profit industry group supporting innovation and commercialization of robotics technologies. Andra is also founder of the Robot Launch global startup competition, Robot Garden makerspace, Women in Robotics and is a mentor, investor and advisor to startups, accelerators and think tanks, with a strong interest in commercializing socially positive robotics and AI.
Ryan Carlon - Senior Manager, Business Development
Ryan Carlon joined Liquid robotics in 2011 with a decade of experience in robotics and advanced software development for unmanned vehicles , vision-based mapping, localization and navigation systems. A graduate of Harvard University with an Electrical Engineering & Computer Science degree, Ryan's focus has been on the advancement of autonomous robotics for the maritime, agricultural and defense industries. At Liquid Robotics he leads worldwide Commercial Initiatives and works collaboratively with the international science community on solutions to address the global issues facing our oceans: illegal fishing , climate change, ocean preservation, severe weather prediction and early seismic detection/warning.
Andrew Pike - Buoy Labs
Andrew is the Data Science Lead for Water Solutions at Buoy Labs (now Resideo). Buoy is an IoT product that uses machine learning algorithms to categorize water usage and detect leaks from flow rate sensors installed on residential homes. Andrew and his team analyze the data for insights into behavior and patterns around water usage as well as ways to conserve. Previously, he was a research hydrologist at NOAA where he worked on water resource modeling throughout California. He has a PhD in Earth and Environmental Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
Paige Roberts - Buoy Labs
Paige Roberts received a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Biology from Tufts University, and has applied her scientific data analysis skills to several fields within biology and conservation. She has modeled population dynamics of Fender’s blue butterflies in Oregon, mapped global infectious disease and its predicting factors with a Boston startup and researchers at Tufts, and developed advanced data analysis methods for studying seabird colonies with Conservation Metrics, Inc. on the westside of Santa Cruz. She now works as a data scientist for Buoy Labs, developing a smart water leak detector and categorization device. She has lived in Santa Cruz for three years, and loves running with her dog, playing beach volleyball, and enjoying the local music scene.

Larry is a partner and co-founder of 219 Design, an interdisciplinary engineering consulting firm that works with clients in a variety of industries including medical, consumer, and automotive. He co-manages 219's Silicon Valley office. Colin Beighley Co-Founder & Director of Hardware Engineering at Swift Navigation
After graduating UCSC in 2010, Colin worked at Joby Energy for a year as an electrical engineer before founding Swift Navigation. Swift Navigation is on a mission to enable a future of autonomous vehicles to navigate and understand the world. Swift Navigation makes a highly accurate GPS system. They developed a low-cost RTK system (Real Time Kinematic) that enhanced the precision of the GPS signal. This technology can be applied for automotive, autonomous vehicle, mobile and mass market applications.
