Sumayyah Emeh- Edu (Embedded Consulting)
Sumayyah Emeh-Edu is the founder and Principal Strategist at Embedded Consulting. She has over 15 years professional experience leading various initiatives within higher education and corporate sectors, focused primarily on diversity and professional development. In that time, she has successfully organized Tech Inclusion and The Better Man Conference, as well as managed engagement programs with clients such as Kaiser Permanente, PG&E, Asana and Oracle.
Hailing from organizations such as Change Catalyst, Keller Center for Corporate Learning and Laureate Education, Sumayyah understands systemic inequities throughout the education-workforce pipeline. This insight was an impetus to commit her career to challenge the status quo for inclusion.
Sumayyah founded The Ally Movement in November 2016 to provide a tools for those with privilege to take action. She is also a Board Member for Techtonica, an apprenticeship program for women to gain programming skills. Professional affiliations include the following: ATD Golden Gate Chapter, National Diversity Council, and Women’s Global Leadership Initiative.
Jeewika Ranaweera (Oracle)
Jeewika Ranaweera is a principal hardware engineer at Oracle. She received her Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from ISPJAE in Havana, Cuba; and her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.
She is a member of the Oracle Corporation Semiconductor Engineering team that develops high-speed microprocessors with emphasis on product performance. Jeewika has also been involved in foundry technology development, FinFet technology, innovative Design for Manufacturability (DFM) solutions, and implementing layout effect validation methods to enhance yield.
Jeewika is an IEEE Senior Member, an ABET program evaluator for IEEE; is a judge for local and international science fairs; is active in IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE); and Oracle Women Leadership. She has authored and co-authored many papers published in technical journals, or presented at international conferences. Jeewika holds four U.S. Patents.
She was recently featured on ABET Spotlight, UofT Magazine and authored an eBook about her engineering journey for IEEE WIE to inspire others to follow STEM careers. She also illustrated the 1st children’s book published by IEEE. She was a speaker at the Grace Hopper Conference last year on “High Performance Computing and Engineering track” and contributed to the development of the next generation of women in technology. She was a panelist at the 2017 IEEE Women in Computing Summit’s Innovation Panel on “How to stay ahead of the curve in technology”.

Aviv Elor (Google Daydream)
Aviv Elor is an undergraduate student researcher in the Computer Engineering and Computational Media departments at University of California, Santa Cruz. His research focuses on the creation and application of new assistive technologies to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities, which ranges everywhere from virtual reality to autonomous systems.
Aviv is the acting Google Daydream Innovator representative for UCSC. He will be presenting on Daydream Impact. Daydream Impact is a new online education and equipment loan program geared towards NGOs, schools. “Helping creators use VR and AR to improve reality by providing guidance, tools and inspiration.”
